Russian terminology:

Народ пытается применять русскую терминологию Дам выдержку поскольку ссылку дать не получается.

i have been trying to gather a general sense of the russian terms for the basic sambo throws. i have come up with some stuff that seems pretty standard, but i do find a lot of contradictions on some throws... or no info at all on others. here is what i have so far. if someone can correct this list, or answer some of my questions that would be great:


Podsechka -foot sweep

Perednia- front (also used to mean front trip)

Zadnia - back (also used to mean back trip)

podnochka- trip

Nognitsy- scissors

podsad- sitting throw

spina- over the back throw

bedro- hip throw

podhvat- one leg lift throw



now here are my questions:

Vertushka-???
i learned that a Vertushka was a type of throw, but i have also seen this term used to describe a ground technique.

what exactly does this term mean?


Cherez sebia- ??? sacrifice throw ???

i see this term in front of russian words for knee, or shin, or foot referring to different rolling throws. what exactly does this mean?

Zatseps -??? hooking trips???

then what does obviv mean?


also, does anyone know how to simply say "to shoot" in russian. i cant seem to find a blanket term for shooting for a single or double in russian.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
